Travel schedule/itinerary
Day 1 - Kirkenes-Finnmark coast
Board the Hurtigruten ship before noon, then cruise to Vardo, Norway's easternmost town, with the enchanting Vardohus Fortress. Time to go ashore. Cruise along the Varanger peninsula before a late evening arrival at Batsfjord.
All meals are included during the cruise: Buffet breakfast, buffet lunch & 3 course dinner (food only)
You can join a selection of interesting Land excursions en route (optional/additional costs)
Day 2 - Mehamn-Tromso
Cruise via Hammerfest, across Soroysund to Oksfjord. The course is set via Lopphavet open sea and the ship finds quiet waters towards Skjervoy island and the Arctic town of Tromso towards midnight.
Optional land excursions: Breakfast at the North Cape & Midnight concert in Tromso
Day 3 - Tromso-Lofoten Islands
Through the amazing, narrow Risoyrenna channel after leaving Harstad & Stokmarknes with the Hurtigruten Museum, then on to Vesteralen and the spectacular Lofoten islands
Optional land excursion: Coach trip across the Lofoten Islands
Day 4 - Helgeland coast
Make sure to get up early for the call at the tiny village of Ornes, surrounded by a spectacular mountain scenery, with views of the Svartisen glacier.
The ship continues along the beautiful and fabled Helgeland Coast, with scenic islands & the impressive Seven Sisters mountain range
After the call at Bronnoysund the ship passes the Torghatten mountain peak, with the spectacular hole - one of Nature's wondersOptional land excursion: The UNESCO Vega islands
Day 5 - Trondheim-Alesund
The island of Munkholmen leads the way to the historic town of Trondheim, with picturesque areas of tiny, wooden houses (Bakklandet) and Norway's only cathedral. Then passing the beautiful island of Hitra and the open sea of Hustadvika before approaching the city of Molde. Optional sightseeing in Trondheim
Day 6 - Alesund-Bergen
Magnificent West Norway scenery, with mouths of fjords and a lush, beautiful archipelago, including the island kingdom of Oygarden, before the ship approaches Bergen. Arrival at 14:30
